all enthusiests appreciate your effort.
ans to Q5: Sometimes but not religiously
From your site I also discovered both T&H and Double Forte which I read regularly in digest mode.
I also appreciate your extensive participation on T@H and direct email responses.
I go here for resources and links regularly.
I have also used your site to research mtn tandems - my wife has put that idea on hold.
I have appreciated your site. I stumbled accross the site when I was trying to determine a fair price to offer T&H member Mark Russell for his 99 Sovereign.
I have learned many new things made new friends who I have yet to meet.
I regularly send new tandem enthusiast to this site for resources too.
I'm really glad that Mark Livingood has gone to what appears to me a whole lot of work putting this all together.
Keep up the good work.
Keep up the great work. I'm hooked and would be lost without you.
Keep up the great work. On a personal note we look forward to receiving our Co-Motion Triplet in February. Your site T@H Mark at Precision Tandems and Mel at Tandems East all share the blame for keeping us infected with the tandem bug. We love it!
No comment on their quality.
Often when I meet someone who is into tandems or looking for info I mention the link.
One thing that seems to be missing in the tandem world is a more comprehensive buyers guide. By that I suggest not just manufacturer material and list price but also a listing of key components (shifters wheelset etc.). Perhaps the buyers guide could be linked to reviews provided by owners or those who have taken test rides?
Overall your site is very well put together and professional.
Tandem Links is one of the most important resource tools available for anyone who participates at any level in our magnificant sport.
Thank you so much.
Thanks for collecting these resources in one place!
Thanks for establishing and maintaining the best tandem site on the planet. You provide an excellent comprehensive and fair site.
The only reason I do not find the bulletin board as usefull as everything else is that I often find out about the item in TH or DF first.
Things listed as "not useful" to me are because I have not needed them and therefore not used these resources.
Xtra comment: Is the DF site part of the TandemLink? I certainly use that to look people up sometimes. Wasn't sure whether that meant I should click "Locator information" above.
6-Other: Decals & all those fantastic photos & ad hoc information ;-)
ans to Q3: Can't remember - maybe
As the leader of the DOGS (Doubles Of the Garden State) I really appreciate the fact that others can find us when looking for rides in our area or a club to join when moving to NJ.
Awesome amount of information. I have yet to trawl through much of it. When do you find time to ride your tandem/sleep/eat/work...?! :-)
Awesome site!
could not down load buyers guide(I do use an old computer)Your web site is very helpfull keep up the great work. thank you for supporting our sport.
excellant job keep up the good work
Excellent overview of various events throughout the country. Extremely easy to navigate site. Thanks!
Excellent resource for tandem cycling. Keep up the excellent work Mark!
Exellent job very useful site creative design. Keep it up I am sure
Found your site to be very useful when I was shopping for my first tandem. I live in a small town and had to use the internet not able to "kick the tires." Good good advise and info on types and frame material that would best serve me. Your site is considered as one of my best info resources.
Good site. I like being able to keep up on tandem related news.
great site like the updated new information pages keeps me interested.
Great site -- keep up the good work. Although I'm a very experienced cyclist my wife is a "newbie" cyclist and we're both new to tandeming.
Great Site Mark
GREAT WEB SITE
Great website!
Hello Mark strangely enough my wife and I purchased a Ventana mountian bike based on little more than your write-up / review and the fact that you own one yourself. <grin> In fact we just received the bike this past Monday and managed to put it together - once again due to the info on your site - late last night. Neither my wife nor I are "techies" so getting our S&S bike in pieces and parts without ever having seen it assembled was a bit "intersting!" The photos on your site were referenced more than a few times in response to "so how's this suppossed to look?" Thanks for the great info!
Hey Mark love your site. my only problem is fitting the entire page on my screen. I only have a 14 inch monitor and some of the page is unreadable. I can't even scroll over to it. any ideas??
Hi Mark
howdy from a big tandem fan. i've looked at your site a few times when i'm dreaming of which tours i'd like to take in the future mostly. your reports are pretty detailed so they're interesting. (but sometimes a long read :)
I apreciate the effort you are putting in the web-pages very much.
I did not check any areas as "not useful." The ones I haven't visited I simply haven't needed YET. Frankly I don't look at The Tandem Link.com often but when I do I appreciate it...it's a very good site.
I don't know if the information is available but it would be nice to see more tandem related rides or gatherings in the midwest.
I greatly appreciate your efforts.
I have been a Tandem owner for over 4 1/2 years and have only recently discovered The TandemLink.com along with Tandem@Hobbs and DOUBLE_FORTE.
I have tried subscribing twice in 3 months to the double forte forum. It seems there is no one processing the "pending" memberships
I just surf anything tandem Its a layout thing for me probably color change the color and jazz up the layout. Sorry about the superfisial nature of these coments but knowing the depth of knowladge about tanderming i don't want to coment on any thing else!
I really appreciate your maintaining this site. Great work!!!
I think I must have replied to the previous survey as I remember the 1000 ch limit! Haven't listed Not helpfuls as even though I don't use them I don't find them offensive. Since when did you become the Queen (use of 'We')?! Ooops I think I pressed enter. Oh well. clive
I think that it is a good resource. I often hit it in the afternoon from my desk when I start daydreaming of riding. I used it extensively while shopping for my quad late last year
I usually only go to your site when I see a link to it on one of the tandem related e-mails.
I wish I had the time to check your site everyday. (As I wish I could read every posting on Tandem@Hobbes everyday.) Unfortunately like most there simply isn't enough time in the day (or night) to absorb it all.
It is a great resource - Thanks Mark!
It is great to have so much good stuff in one location. Your volunteer efforts are MUCH appreciated!
it's a very informative site... and the fact it's essentially maintained by one person (ie you) makes it even better... your work is appreciated...
It's great to have a tandem specific web site like this. We have had our tandem for 8 months and have used a lot of the information on your site. Articles posted on your bulletin board are a nice touch. Keep up the good work.
Keep up the good work!
Keep up the great work. The site is a wonderful resource!
like the link ASTRO - found tandem races on that site.
love the storage pictures. Have helped me with my storage problems.
Mark excellent site I check it out everyday and love reading the articles and then telling my wife about them as owning a tandem for 2 yrs and enjoying it. we are getting geeked about the mid-west tandem rally as this will be our first ride with other tandemist. keep up the great job!!
Mark glad to have this forum to express appreciation for your very useful site - I visit frequently for both bulletin board and general info. Good resource for both novice and experienced tandemists. Please keep up the good work - you've MORE than paid your tandem community dues! Jon and Ann
Mark I believe you have put together what is now the premier web site on tandem related information. Nice work. Now if somehow pleasantly some of the double forte members can refrain from socializing....
Mark so far your website is the best single tandem resource that I've found on the web. I've bookmarked several others but mostly I just go through the TandemLink to find whatever I'm looking for.
Mark the website is excellent. I have only 2 concerns: first the font used on the new build in 2003 is very difficult for 40+ eyes to read. Ironically the archived text is better. A larger font with more contrast would be better. Second the updates are sometimes infrequent - I realize the work involved but weekly additions to the bulletin are very important it's the change in text that catches the reader. Perhaps get some undated general items to add to the page during slow news times.
Mark your site is very useful. When I need info on a bicylcing related topic I can usually find the link on your site. As the owner of 3 tandems (my wife and I captain with our children behind and a triple for when our 3 yr old is big enough) I have passed along your URL to many of my riding friends for information on tandems. Take care.
Much of the information of the site is not usful to me only because we live in Montana. It is still interesting to see what happens in the part of the courtry where there are many tandems and people.
Nice web site with lots of useful information backed by a knowledgeable source. Keep on truckin'!
none
Not using the events page is solely due to geographical location. I am unlikely to ever take a trip for a tandem event.
simply an amazing site for an individual. keep up the great work!!
some of the links are outdated such as manufacturers and rides. The links help us find different rides and ideas. If you could provide more tandem rallies in the western US.I think you guys are doing a great job.
Sometimes too much information can be harmful not helpful. In my opinion you have too much information on your site. It must take up way too much of your time to keep the site running and updated--you should simplify things and save yourself some time.
TEST 1
Thank you for an excellent site that has earned one of only 10 links on my browser bar.
Thank you for providing the tandem websie. I often us the links to find websites for bicycle manufactures both single and tandem. The links are also useful to find tandem shops and other bicycle related information. The list of tandem events is also helpful. When I saw the events posted today I thought that it is time to make plans! Thanks great job!
Thank you for putting together your web site and maintaining it. :-) [no resonse needed]
Thanks for being committed to the tandeming lifestyle.. It's a recsource we desperatly need out here!
Thanks for your efforts.
Thanks Mark for your interest in the tandem community as well as keeping your web site interesting.
Thanks Mark for an incredibly wonderful resource. I visit your site every time I'm on the web just as I would a periodical publication. I even use it for nonrelated Tandem issues...ie. for your conversion programs. Thanks again for all of your efforts. It's definitely made a difference in the Tandem community.
That enter key is a tough habit to break. Anyway I just want to say that your site is the best tandem-specific site I've found on the web. I scanned the web for nearly a year before I purchased my first tandem (used Burley Rock'n Roll Softride) in April 2002. I found your site to be the most helpful as far as gathering the tons of info I needed to convince myself and my wife that the startup expenses were worth it. This was a huge step for me since I had never owned a multi-geared bike before. Granted I was way over my head but I repeatedly went to your website to find helpful information so I wouldn't wreck the bike or ruin my stoker. I have found the Bulletin Board Links and Club/Events pages especially helpful (I sure wish there was a South Carolina club). Keep it up with the great updates--your changing info keeps me coming back each week. Perhaps I'll get the chance to meet you some day--I'm seriously considering my first tandem rally to be the Georgia Rally in May.
The site has been very helpful for finding new Bicycle Club and Bicycle shops in the east. I just moved from CA to MD this summer.
The site is great and should be mandatory viewing for anyone contemplating buying a tandem for the first time
Ummm I'd been skipping to the links. But the bulliten board looks very interesting so I plan to start looking at it now. Thanks for all your work!
Use this site to access DF Forum. I find the collection of links to be the most outstanding part of this site. This site is THE best resource for the tandem community from a technical resource standpoint. Mark keep up the good work.
We are tourists and enjoy links to travel reports and info re. travel how tps for different states and countries.
We bought our first tandem early this summer. Prior to that I searched the web for info. I came across The TandemLink and found it to be the resource I was looking for. Everything else I came across was limited and/or not very well organised. It was every helpfull and facilitated finding any info I was looking for. I still use it as a starting place for many of my searches for information.
We love your site. Keep up the great work.
We used the information on this site and the related links to gather as much information as possible when we decided to add a serious tandem to our collection of bikes. We were surprised to find so much information at our fingertips. Thank you.
We're new to tandeming this year. We found your site early on in our research and used it extensively. We have found it to be a valuable resource for locating information on the web.
We're not club/group ride oriented hence the response to number 7. Overall our opinion is very favourable.
When I need tandem info this is the first place I go. Great job Mark!
YOU THE MAN!!!!!!
you've done a superb job of making a service like this available to a niche group of enthusiasts
Your posting of upcoming events is most helpful.
Your site is the most comprehensive tandem out there; have spent many hours exploring reading learning etc. Thanks.
Your sitewas one of the places that helped get us "straightened out" when we started riding 19 months ago. I have never checked out your bulletin board though. I plan on to now!
